Mushroom Mousseron

Mousseron mushrooms or ‘Fairy Ring’ mushrooms are wild edible mushrooms found in Portugal. They are small mushrooms with a really Fine stem and a large cap.

Their colour is golden brown to light tan. The texture is a bit like shiitake thick and a bit fibrous, whilst the flavour is nutty with a spicy cinnamon hint. They can be found between Spring and Autumn.
