Sorrel

Sorrel originated in northern Asia and Europe. It has a pungent and acidic flavor. Sorrel is eaten raw or cooked. Used raw, it adds freshness to a salad with its lemony flavor. It can be cooked and prepared like spinach. Sorrel traditionally accompanies fish and veal but also pairs well with poultry.
